This Privacy Policy explains how Optituning AS ("OptiTuning", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use OptiTuning Hub ("the Hub").

Information We Collect

  • Account and profile information: such as name, email address, and organization/dealership information.
  • Usage and device information: such as IP address, device/browser information, and how you interact with the Hub (for reliability, security, and support).
  • Calendar data you create in the Hub: event title, date/time, timezone, description, location, visibility, and related metadata.
  • Google Calendar connection data (if you connect Google): OAuth tokens (access/refresh tokens), token expiry, your Google account email (if provided by Google), and the ID of the Google Calendar we create/use for syncing.

How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Hub.
  • Authenticate users and secure accounts.
  • Sync events to Google Calendar when you enable the integration.
  • Provide support, troubleshoot issues, and communicate updates.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Google Calendar Integration

If you choose to connect Google Calendar, the Hub requests access to your Google Calendar to create and update calendar events and (when configured) keep them in sync. The integration is intended to sync events created/managed in the Hub to a dedicated Google Calendar in your Google account.

Google API Services User Data Policy: The Hub's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, the Hub:

  • Only uses Google Calendar data to provide and improve the calendar sync features you enable.
  • Does not use Google Calendar data for serving advertisements or for any purpose unrelated to providing the Hub.
  • Does not allow humans to read your Google Calendar data unless: (a) you give explicit consent (e.g., for support), (b) it is necessary for security purposes, (c) it is required by law, or (d) the data is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.
  • Does not transfer Google Calendar data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Hub, as required by law, or with your explicit consent.

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information:

  • With service providers that help us operate the Hub (e.g. hosting, analytics, and email delivery), under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
  • For legal and safety reasons if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • With your organization when your account is administered by an organization/dealership using the Hub.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Hub and for legitimate business purposes such as security, audit, and compliance. Retention periods may vary by data type.

Disconnecting Google and Data Deletion

You can disconnect Google Calendar from within the Hub settings. When you disconnect, we stop syncing and revoke/disable access where applicable. Some data (such as events you created in the Hub and internal references like external event IDs) may remain in our systems to maintain record integrity.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children's Privacy

The Hub is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
